Who we are
This website (www.yavardi.com) and the Reconstruction Tax™ calculator (calculator.yavardi.com) are operated by TEK SOLUTIONS LLC d/b/a Yavardi, 777 N Jefferson St, Ste 408, Milwaukee, WI 53202 (“Yavardi,” “we,” and “us”). Questions about this policy or requests about your information can be sent to contact@yavardi.com. This policy covers our public website and calculator. It does not cover services we provide to clients under a separate agreement, which are governed by that agreement.
Information you provide
We collect the information you choose to give us through our forms. The briefing request on our homepage asks for your email address. The “Schedule a Conversation” form on our How Firms Operate page asks for your name and email address, and optionally your firm and a message. The download form on our Reconstruction Tax™ page asks for your name, firm, phone number, and work email. The email form on the Reconstruction Tax™ calculator asks for your work email and sends it together with the figures you entered and the resulting estimates. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include.
The Reconstruction Tax™ calculator
The calculator asks for five firm-level business figures: number of attorneys, blended hourly rate, annual matter volume, target billable hours per attorney, and a realization leakage rate. The estimate is calculated in your browser. Your figures are sent to us only if you submit your email with them, or if you allow analytics. If you allow analytics, the calculator sends usage events to our own analytics service, including the figures you enter, the resulting estimates, and how you use the page. Each event is stored with your IP address and a timestamp.
Information collected automatically
The main website does not use analytics, advertising, or session-replay tools, and it sets no cookies other than the one that remembers your cookie preference. Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, and our hosting provider may keep this in server logs. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from cdnjs (operated by Cloudflare), so those providers receive your IP address and browser information when your browser requests those files. How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, briefing requests, and download requests; to send the materials you request and follow up about them; to understand how the calculator is used and improve it, if you allow analytics; to operate, secure, and maintain our website; and to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights. Submitting a form lets us respond to that request. It does not sign you up for marketing, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing contact@yavardi.com.
Who receives information
We use a small number of service providers, and they receive information only as needed to provide their services to us. Formspree processes and delivers our form submissions, including calculator figures and results submitted with an email. Vercel hosts our website and calculator. Our calculator analytics service is our own infrastructure, hosted on Cloudflare. Google Fonts and cdnjs deliver fonts and icons. If you use the “Book 30 Minutes” link on the calculator, Microsoft Bookings handles the information you enter there under Microsoft’s terms. Our downloadable briefing is hosted on our own website.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business relationship. Form submissions are deleted from Formspree after 90 days. Calculator analytics data, including IP addresses, is kept for up to three years. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs under their own retention practices.
Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. See our Security page for more information.
Your choices and rights
You can allow or refuse calculator analytics at any time using “Cookie Preferences” in the footer. You may ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@yavardi.com. We will verify requests as appropriate and respond as required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing, and to appeal a decision about your request.
Visitors outside the United States
Yavardi is based in Wisconsin, in the United States, and information is processed in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
